OUR STORY
Sankat Mochan Hanuman Mandir stands today in Majhauwa Dubey, near Ayodhya Prasad Dubey Inter College on Basti-Lucknow Road, Shankarpur, not just as a temple, but as the living dream of one devoted soul.
This temple was built by Shri Ram Keval Dubey, son of Shri Ramcharitra Dubey. Coming from a humble village background, he moved to Mumbai and began his working life as a coolie, later serving 40 years as a clerk at TATA, quietly supporting his entire family through decades of honest labour.
"The day I retire, I will bring Hanuman ji home and serve Him for the rest of my life."
That dream took spiritual shape when he received divine blessings and guru diksha from Shri Brahmachari Ji, the revered saint of Ayodhya and guru of Shri Nritya Gopal Das Ji. Following this, he experienced a sakshatkar (divine vision) of Hanuman ji himself, and by Hanuman ji's own ajna (command), he arrived at this land to build His home.
The moment he retired, he used his life savings and provident fund to build this temple. Construction began years in advance, with the temple formally inaugurated on 5th July 1998. For the next 10-12 years, he personally served as priest (no hired pujari, only pure devotion), until his swargavas (passing).
हमारी कहानी
संकट मोचन हनुमान मंदिर आज मझौवा दुबे में, अयोध्या प्रसाद दुबे इंटर कॉलेज के पास, बस्ती-लखनऊ रोड, शंकरपुर में स्थित है, यह सिर्फ एक मंदिर नहीं, बल्कि एक समर्पित आत्मा के जीवन भर के सपने का साकार रूप है।
इस मंदिर का निर्माण श्री राम केवल दुबे जी ने किया, जो श्री रामचरित्र दुबे जी के पुत्र थे। एक साधारण गांव से मुंबई आकर उन्होंने अपने जीवन की शुरुआत एक कुली की नौकरी से की, और फिर टाटा में क्लर्क के पद पर चालीस वर्षों तक कार्य करते हुए ईमानदारी से अपने पूरे परिवार का पालन-पोषण किया।
"जिस दिन मैं रिटायर होऊंगा, सबसे पहले हनुमान जी को अपने घर लाऊंगा और जीवन भर उनकी सेवा करूंगा।"
यह सपना तब आध्यात्मिक रूप लेने लगा जब उन्हें अयोध्या के दिव्य महापुरुष श्री ब्रह्मचारी जी (जो श्री नृत्य गोपाल दास जी के गुरु थे) से दिव्य आशीर्वाद और गुरु दीक्षा प्राप्त हुई। इसके बाद उन्हें स्वयं हनुमान जी का साक्षात्कार हुआ, और हनुमान जी की ही आज्ञा से वे इस भूमि पर आए उनका घर बनाने के लिए।
रिटायर होते ही उन्होंने अपनी जीवन भर की जमा पूंजी और प्रोविडेंट फंड से यह मंदिर बनवाया। निर्माण कार्य कई वर्ष पहले ही शुरू हो गया था, और मंदिर का औपचारिक उद्घाटन 5 जुलाई 1998 को हुआ। इसके बाद अगले 10-12 वर्षों तक उन्होंने स्वयं पुजारी बनकर सेवा की (कोई किराए का पुजारी नहीं, केवल शुद्ध भक्ति), जब तक उनका स्वर्गवास नहीं हुआ।
THE DEITY: A RARE FORM OF HANUMAN JI
Unlike the commonly seen forms of Hanuman ji (Panchmukhi, carrying the Sanjeevani mountain, or deep in dhyan chanting Ram naam), the murti here is uniquely different.
Here, Hanuman ji sits in Ashirwad Mudra (blessing posture), not lost in penance, but present, watching over and blessing every devotee who comes before Him. This is the true meaning behind the temple's name: Sankat Mochan, the remover of troubles, always ready to bless.
प्रतिमा: हनुमान जी का दुर्लभ स्वरूप
आमतौर पर देखे जाने वाले पंचमुखी रूप, संजीवनी पर्वत उठाए हुए, या ध्यान में मग्न राम नाम जपते हनुमान जी के विपरीत, यहां की मूर्ति बिल्कुल अलग है।
यहां हनुमान जी आशीर्वाद मुद्रा में विराजमान हैं, तपस्या में लीन नहीं, बल्कि हर भक्त के सामने साक्षात उपस्थित होकर आशीर्वाद देते हुए। यही मंदिर के नाम का असली अर्थ है: संकट मोचन, संकटों को हरने वाले, हमेशा आशीर्वाद देने को तत्पर।

By Ishwar's grace, this temple and trust have never accepted public donations. Every act of seva is made possible purely through the voluntary, yathashakti (as-per-capacity) contribution of our own Sansthan Parivar members; the rest, we believe, is Hanuman ji's own doing.
